Construction has begun on OTO Park LUBIN, one of the largest retail parks in Lower Silesia. Today, December 1, 2025, a cornerstone laying ceremony was held, officially inaugurating the construction of the complex. The investment, carried out jointly by Acteeum Central Europe and Falcon Investment Management, with an area of 15,000 m² GLA, is crucial for the region and stands out on the Lower Silesian commercial market with its unique, pro-ecological approach, as evidenced by the commencement of a procedure supervised by independent assessors, leading to the award of the international BREEAM Excellent certificate.

The ceremony was attended by representatives of the investors, the contractor (TRASKO INVEST), and local authorities, including Marcin Owczarek, Vice-Chairman of the Lubin County Council. The foundation stone was laid, sealing the start of construction. OTO Park Lubin, with an area of 15,000 m² GLA, will be one of the largest and most modern retail parks in the region, with parking for nearly 400 cars.

OTO Park Lubin will offer residents of the region 30 stores of well-known and popular brands. Among the key, already confirmed tenants who will open their stores in the new retail park are: Biedronka, TEDI, ACTION, ROSSMANN, PEPCO, HEBE, MEDIA EXPERT, SINSAY, MAXI ZOO, MARTES SPORT

An additional strategic advantage of the facility will be a drive-thru restaurant. The brand that will open its premises remains a secret for now, but it will certainly enrich the gastronomic offer.

The new complex will fill a gap in Lubin’s commercial map, as it will be the first modern shopping center in the western part of the city. This will significantly improve the quality of life and convenience of residents, eliminating the need for long commutes. The facility is expected to serve 130,000 customers living within a 30-minute drive.

– The new complex will fill a gap in Lubin’s commercial landscape, becoming the first modern retail facility in the western part of the city. This will significantly improve the quality of life and convenience for residents, eliminating the need for long commutes. We are very pleased with the pace of commercialization and the commitment we are seeing in this project. The presence of key tenants such as Biedronka, Media Expert, and Pepco confirms that Lubin is ready for this type of modern retail space,”
said Piotr Piechocki, Managing Director at Falcon Investment Management.

Quality and Sustainable Development Guarantee (BREEAM Excellent)

OTO Park Lubin is designed to obtain the prestigious global BREEAM Excellent Certificate, which places it among the most sustainable retail parks in Poland.

– “The BREEAM Excellent certificate is a commitment to the highest quality and sustainability for us. It means that OTO LUBIN meets strict criteria for sustainable development, energy efficiency, and user comfort from the design stage onwards. To achieve this, we have to implement a number of innovative solutions that exceed market standards. Among other things, we are installing photovoltaic panels on the roof to produce our own energy, electric car charging stations for our customers, and systems that will allow us to reduce water consumption by as much as 60% compared to standard installations. We want to build a facility that meets the highest ecological requirements, is people-friendly and environmentally friendly,”

said Tomasz Szewczyk, President of the Management Board of Acteeum Central Europe.

OTO PARK LUBIN, HOW TO BUILD ECOLOGICALLY:

  • Water Management: Thanks to the selection of low-flow sanitary components, water consumption is estimated to be reduced by approximately 60% compared to standard installations.
  • The wood used in construction is checked for legality of origin and sourced in accordance with sustainable development.
  • Retention and Biologically Active Areas: In order to minimize the impact on the environment, a large-capacity (2330.5 m³) sealed retention reservoir will be built, as well as the largest possible green areas to allow for natural rainwater infiltration. A 20 m³ concrete tank will store rainwater for watering greenery.
  • E-mobility Infrastructure: Electric car chargers will be installed on the premises.
  • Small Architecture: For the comfort of users, covered bicycle shelters with a bicycle repair station will be built, as well as modern seats with tables, benches with bins, waste sorting bins, planters with plants, and USB-C charging posts.
  • Roof Ready for Renewable Energy: The roof of the facility has been prepared for the future installation of photovoltaic panels, which will enable quick installation and production of clean energy.
