Excellent results of previous joint projects in Poland and smooth cooperation have made Acteeum and BIG Shopping Centers join forces again. The star of construction works of BIG Piła is planned for the turn of this year and the opening is scheduled for the second half of 2025.

BIG Piła, of which construction will start at the turn of 2024/25, will be located at al. Wojska Polskiego and will be a regional shopping center with a total area of approx. 38,000 sqm of GLA and the catchment of about 100,000 residents within 30 minutes drive area. The complex will include a retail park with an area of approx. 18,700 sqm including a modern supermarket and approximately 30 stores of the most anticipated brands in the region. Additionally, the investment will include convenient communication solutions ensuring easy access to the facility, as well as various construction and infrastructure solutions to meet the requirements of sustainable development.

The current cooperation between Acteeum Group and BIG Shopping Centers, which has been ongoing since 2022, started at the beginning of BIG’s presence in Poland. At that time, as a result of the takeover of the Andrychów retail park, it took on the BIG Andrychów brand. The next stage of cooperation between both investors is the currently constructed project in Ostróda, where BIG Ostróda, a regional retail park with an area of 25,000 sqm of GLA will open at the end of summer.

Such effective and successful cooperation of both partners and the potential of the retail industry, especially in medium-sized cities, resulted in another joint venture. Acteeum and BIG are joining forces again to develop another project, this time in Piła.

We are very happy that together with BIG we are starting another project – this time in Piła. We will develop a spectacular shopping center on an 11-hectare, well-connected plot, where, thanks to many long-awaited stores with wide and attractive range of products, a spacious furniture store and a home and garden market, as well as extremely easy accessibility, residents of Piła and the entire region will gain a top place for convenient, efficient and comprehensive shopping – says Tomasz Szewczyk, Managing Partner, Acteeum Central Europe.

– We are happy to officially confirm that another shopping center with the BIG brand will be developed in Piła. Thanks to its excellent location, a very attractive offer of shops and services, as well as functional, architectural and ecological solutions, BIG Piła will mark another milestone in building the BIG brand in Poland. Planning the opening for the second half of 2025, we are already preparing for intensive activities thanks to which we will build strong ties with the local community of Piła and the surrounding area from the very beginning. – says Eran Levy, BIG Poland CEO.

The shopping offer of BIG Piła will include various fashion, interior design, sports, consumer electronics, media, food and drugstore brands. There will also be a gastronomy and service offer available, ensuring a comprehensive response to customer needs. The BIG Piła shopping center will enrich the surroundings not only with its shopping offer, but also with its modern, functional and friendly architecture, open communication and improvement of the infrastructure of the surrounding area.
